Ryan Parker

Born in 1977 in Dallas, Texas, Ryan grew up in a sports-centered family where soccer quickly became the center of his world. Raised in nearby Frisco, he spent countless hours on the field after school, eager to dribble a ball and run through drills whenever he could. Rain or shine, the soccer field was where Ryan felt most at home.

An unfortunate ACL tear eventually brought his dreams of pursuing soccer long term to a halt. Always an optimist, Ryan believes that everything happens for a reason. During the long stretches of recovery that followed multiple injuries and surgeries, he began painting as a way to pass the time. What started as a simple creative outlet soon revealed something more. Friends and family quickly recognized a natural talent in his work—something Ryan himself had initially seen only as recreation. Encouraged by their support, he reluctantly agreed to showcase a few pieces at local open calls and coffee shops around the city. To his surprise, several paintings sold on the very first night.

Anyone who knows Ryan can attest to his charisma and outgoing nature. A natural conversationalist, he can strike up a genuine connection with just about anyone. It was this easy charm that helped him hit it off with a young woman who soon captured his attention. A few years later, the newly married couple relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to support his wife’s career.

Today, they’ve built a lively home filled with three children, two dogs, plenty of paint, and more than a few soccer balls. While Ryan no longer plays competitively, his love for the game lives on through coaching his son’s soccer team on the weekends—an experience he says gives him the best of both worlds.
