Rick Marlowe Schneider is a mixed-media artist whose dimensional collages explore the bold visual language of vintage graphic design and Hollywood’s Golden Age. Inspired by pulp fiction, classic movie posters, and mid-century imagery, his work brings together vibrant colors, playful typography, and layered textures to create compositions rich in nostalgia and character.
With a background as a creative director in advertising, Schneider developed a distinctive approach to collage, combining archival imagery with handmade papers and raised dimensional techniques that create depth and shadow.
Based in Leland, North Carolina, he draws inspiration from an extensive collection of vintage magazines and stories, influenced by his father’s career as a pulp fiction writer.
