Adam Finli

Adam Finli's upbringing offers unique insight into his work. Raised on an estate in South Africa in the 1980s, he spent much of his time learning woodworking techniques with a primary focus on traditional wooden masks. His father's government position allowed the Finlis opportunities to travel to Italy, Germany, France and England. This exposure left an indelible impact on Adam's art and life.

When the family first arrived in Italy, Adam's father recognized his seven-year-old son's skill and depth as a painter. He taught Adam the basics of painting which may still be seen in his figurative style. The richness of culture and exposure to the museums and architecture additionally offers subtleties to his work today.

The family continued to travel until Adam traveled to Atlanta to attend the Atlanta College of Art. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts and continues to live and paint in the local area. Finli is avidly collected nationally and internationally.
