Didem Ebru was born in Turkey in 1963. He began sketching during high school in the 70s, then attended art university in the 80s receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
For many years after college, Ebru worked manual labor jobs while painting at home in the evening. His art was a private pursuit that not many of his friends knew about.
In 2005, Ebru emigrated to the United States. This proved to be a difficult transition, and Ebru began to use painting as a catharsis during this difficult time. This developed into a flourishing art career and means of self-expression. His primary medium is acrylic, sometimes using vellum and mixed medium to accomplish the desired vision for his work. His work is collected both in the United States and internationally.
